The Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis is the oldest public art museum of Porto, founded in 1833.
It is currently located in a neoclassical building – Palácio dos Carrancas – and it assembles collections of sculpture and painting that belong mainly to the nineteenth century, and collections of decorative arts, distinguishing themselves through ceramics, jewelry, glass and furniture from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
This new visual identity intends to associate itself to the Neoclassic style the museum presents. It shows a clean, clear and modern image that is adaptable to various supports and circumstances.
